Should you or should you not take the course?

My answer: It depends.

Let me explain.

I’m a huge fan of the AI legend Andrew NG.

And whenever he drops a course on Coursera, I get excited like a dog that has seen a bone dangling from its master’s fingers (Dont worry, I won’t let my admiration for Andrew Ng cloud my opinion about the course).

So when he released this short course, I pounced on it.

I completed it in about 6 days, although, I could binge-watch the entire course including answering the quizes in under 4 hours 30 mins.

Yes, I’m that lazy.

First, let me give you a four sentence summary of the course.

The course is about how generative AI works and what it can (and can’t) do. It touches on some tips for crafting effective prompts when chatting with large language models (LLMs) like OpenAI chatGPT and Google Bard). Andrew also mentions some real-world applications and use cases of generative AI.

If you already know all that, I guess you can stop reading this article and don’t bother taking the course. But…there’s more.
